Challenge and vaccination of lump succers
To determine if strains of Vibrio-like bacteria cause ulcers and disease in lumpsucker, and determine if autovaccine vaccination against these strains will prevent such ulcers and disease.
Safety and efficacy by survival, number of ulcers will be compared between the treatment groups and untreated controls.
The groups challenged With the bacterias are expected to have a higer prevalense of ulcer and also higher mortality than the control Groups and also higher than the vaccinated groups.
The results from the study will be a part of the proof needed to show that these bacteria cause disease and ulcers in lumpsuckers and that vaccination will prevent that kind of ulcers and disease.
